Is it possible to open third eye

Hi I also have a question. There was a time I was chilling with my friends and I told them I feel the signs of police around me not upto 10 minutes 11 vega police came to attack us and destroyed our door.

I imagine things and it always happens…. What signs are this? Hi Sachin, I was brought here through a Google search. For as long as I can remember I have felt that pressure between my eyes and before I go to sleep, only a few times a year, I see what I can only describe as a vortex, a swirling tunnel in shades of grey with faces appearing to me.

I smiled at her and told her it was alright to go, then I opened my eyes and cried myself to sleep. I have had many experiences in the past with seeing spirits but that was when I was much younger, and I also have strange dreams.. For me it has always been someone being hurt or dying. Hope that helps. Migraines are physical the third eye is psychological. You can ask people about the third eye, like religion people.

Or an atheist. My question is is all this normal? I have been having the same issues. The migraines and sensitivity to light. I came across this by accident too and decided to read it. And my sensitivity goes on constant. It is difficult to explain. It can feel like paralysis as well, where you are trying to wake yourself, and you feel frozen. A feeling of dread comes with this.

Also like buzzing in your head that is increasing in intensity. I just experienced it this morning, and decided to see if anyone else could put the experience into words better than I can.

I think you are having anxiety attacks however if you are on any medications I would check with the doctor to see if it could be giving you problems. I do not know where to clasify myself. I do see things in the dream before it happens,be it good or bad.. I always think something has happened before and is reoccurring again.. It is almost 1 year since I feel this pressure between mg eye brows and experiencing dreams bad dreams and I see shadows only shadows and this feeling of cold air surrounding me then after that I will so much tired.

Is this means that my third eye is now unlocking? Anonymous, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Very helpful for me and makes perfect sense. No more researching. Start doing, clearing and realigning with the energy.

Telling you this is the wrong food. Worth noting though and to stay clear of,liason with others with confused and in two mind states. They will drain you and bring you of course, from where you progressed. Connect back with nature and animals. If you encounter someone or a few that drain you with meaningless convo where your attention consiousness goes off course. Find a ground for you that alters state. I will alter states by becoming mindless on the booze. I also use tobacco as well, but also test the limits of denial and wanting to smoke.

Practice the vow of silence and speaking no words. Then practice stillness. The first vow, will strengthen and lower the second. This info has come my way perfect timing. Right now I do feel a throbbing in my pineal gland 3rd eye I just gently rub it and before I know it my body goes on relax mode which consists of energy wanting to escape body, to feel a since of release.

Other times I just sleep. Yesterday I ate bad foods. Trying to eat healthier again in life. But I figured I could give myself one cheat day of the week. It seems my pineal gland is pretty upset with me about it. And NO, it is not an anxiety attack. Jessica, I too am experiencing this. I have known my entire life of something very different between my siblings and I.

There were 11 of us not to mention I have a twin brother but becuse I felt I was so different from them I was sure I had to have been adopted. Sometimes I would see families members at a younger age who used to live in the house a friend or family member now owned.

I could see short clips of their daily lives in prior years, even though these people are still alive just older. They get almost migraine strength usually but have turned into straight up migraine several times. It has crossed my mind like you if this has something to do with everything opening and changing like never before spiritually. This could be in essence our spirit vs our body because of a block, big or small of some kind.

Just thoughts on the subject. Feel free to email if you feel like talking more about it. I dont knw this fake acc or real acc , but i knw how to cotrol 3rd eye , its god gifted , when i was in 8 to 10 old allmost , now i m 23 old , i hope this is fact real account , i went to. Hi Jessica, the same thing is happening to my girlfriend but with an extreme sharp pain at the third eye point, she also has some visuals of the same time but different place. I am totally clueless now. See clearer path for my personal life. Very interesting time in my life to say the least. I can officially say im happy in myself for the first time in my life. My advice would be to when you feel your pain we all experience different effects as we all know we are individuals.

So just calm yourself turn the lights off an just be at one with yourself scary yes but if you where an amazing footballer would you just kick a ball at a wall or go for the world Cup? Im holding my world Cup i hope you all will find yours. I have to started learning from a young age around 10 or 11 and definitely berly at my beginning stages of Decalcifying my pinealgland..

You mentioned light making you wanna squint it could be the light sensitivity causing the migraine. Dont Worry.. I am too Getting the Same sensation as you mentioned…. Jesus is real pick a side. Demons are also real and can play tricks on the unsuspecting and ignorant. Can anyone tell me about manifestation technique? Please tell me the easiest way of manifestation. I have been experiencing the exact thing with the intense headaches recently and getting worse.

So your not alone. I hope that helps and goodluck on your journey. Everything you are experiencing is totally normal keep it up it saved my life! I am on a journey. I believe I can see the world as it really is and something inside of me is burning like a flame, an energy, a force, I know I am inside a machine called a body. Science and Spirituality go hand and hand, one does not disprove the other, for its all the same.

All religions are made up and the religion you choose to have is based off what perception is put into your head of what happens after you die. Choosing what religion you are is strictly based off nurture and how you were raised. No religion is wrong, and since there are so many, no religion is right. That feeling is the energy inside of us, releasing vibrations and reminding us that our being in this universe is in unison and we are in motion with the wave of life, for our spirit has a greater plan.

You choose, release negative vibes or positive ones, for the decisions you make dictate the life that you lead. If you think like me and would like to talk, please text me, I know you want someone to talk to also. I feel the loneliness of reality to. Hey Cam- Everything you wrote about I say ditto!

Feels like people are beginning g to understand the quantum structure now. Anyway it is a good community. You seem to understand, know what you are talking about. I can resonate with everything you say. I am an introvert and need a lot of time on my own. It would be good to find like minded people. I can relate to this past year and the insight it has awakened within me. Could be I am keeping my head tilted even lower than usual due to light, people, sensory overload. These pain issues are sharp and short frequented.

Shake it off. Cobra Pose helps me. Congratulations with the other stuff. It sounds like the beginning of the opening of the third eye.. Are you seeing any vivid pictures very unusual colors? I am around the same point but have been seeing pictures of events. I have been in many meditation groups for the last 6 months working on opening my third eye.

Hi maybe u can answer my question.. Why i always woke up before 3am? Maybe u havee some answers. I experienced the throbbing too. Trying to learn more about it. If you can email me back maybe we can talk. I Am in AWW!! Bruce, I SO love this. I pretty much have become a recluse due to not being good, at all, at the dumbing down thing.

Yes i use to experience it, I have a growl on my lift eye when ever I drink beer I can tell you things about life. Last night I had a terrible headache.

I slept the in the morning when I woke up. I heard the door opened. So I suspected somebody was around the house. But the room was locked and before I went down I saw my aunt upstairs. I called her and told her somebody opened the door of her room.

When we checked nobody was there. This is not the first time it happened. I felt and heard the presence but I cannot see it yet. My head is too heavy and my body is getting warm. The more you chant and devote yourself to it you will feel completely empowered and enlightened and very one with the universe! So u may already have these gifts and the chants will help u control and figure out what exactly is going on inside and around you best of luck.

I agree as well. Like several of you, I to have just stumbled on this page while researching something else to help find a way to rid a block. That is another story that I will not get into right now. I want to comment to everything. But, when I saw your post I knew I needed to speak up. I have never been able to get all of my thoughts down writing or typing. I hopes this helps you. I have found that a recording device works miracles. As I think it I just let it flow out of my mouth then review it later.

You may be a channeler. Someone who channels the spirits of others. Most channelers do not always know what they were thinking or saying after the channeling is over. Some do prefer to write but, for anyone who struggles with writing speed the tape recorder is worth a try. I do not feel a crackling. But I wonder if that is something to do with the decalcifying process. These disputations most frequently arise in connection with accomplishment in the creative arts, where the biographies of many greatly talented people are replete with histories of bizarre behavior of one kind or another.

It is impossible, however, to make such correlations on any kind of statistical basis, since for every "mad artist" on the model of Van Gogh, one can point to two equally creative, original, and productive artists on the sane and sober models of J.

Bach or T. In addition to the artificially induced LSD state, there are other, naturally occurring temporary states in which there is a collapse of the normal routines by which the mind ordinarily processes the information it receives of the outside world. Not only Hitler but before him Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, and Napoleon Bonaparte all reportedly suffered from mysterious seizures which overtook them at seemingly random times--often inconveniently.

Dostoevsky also suffered from these states, and his reports of them are sufficiently detailed to permit a more certain medical diagnosis of his affliction--some kind of psycho-motor epilepsy. As he describes the "aura" which precedes his seizures, the language is remarkably similar to that used by LSD subjects. Dostoevsky wrote: "For a few moments I experience such happiness as is impossible under ordinary circumstances and of which other people can have no notion.

I feel complete harmony in myself and in the world and this feeling is so strong and sweet that for several seconds of such bliss, one would give ten years of one's life; indeed, perhaps one's whole life. Along with the feelings of peace and euphoria, there is a general impression of a clear and golden shimmering light.

Quite often there is a sense of cerebral clarity as well, and solutions of a lovely simplicity appear for the most intractably knotted problems. None of the names used to describe the class of drugs to which LSD belongs and which produce these peculiar states of altered consciousness is completely satisfactory.

When they were first developed, they were called psychotomimetic imitative of psychosis , but this term rang unhappily in the ears of many who felt that the word implied pathology and thus made a negative value judgment. Another name for them, hallucinogenic, was unfortunate in that it rendered an epistemological judgment--hallucinations being by definition unreal or untrue--and if one is to maintain a proper stance of scientific objectivity, one must suspend judgment regarding the reality of reality, for it is just possible that in some way these drugs augment our sense receptors or in some way so alter the mechanism of their functioning that another dimension of reality is made manifest.

This last notion is the one implied in the term psychedelic mind manifesting , which seems gradually to be coming into general use to describe both the class of drugs and those states of mind with which they are associated.

T HERE is a vast literature running back for thousands of years which describes psychedelic experiences, long before , when Albert Hofmann first synthesized d-lysergic acid dyethylamide. Some of the literature describes attacks, sudden, spontaneous, and totally unexpected, like that attack which overcame St. Paul on the road to Damascus. Other traditions in the literature describe states that were induced by fasting, by the sensory deprivation resulting from disciplined meditation the willful exclusion of sensory input , by hysteria through frenzied dancing or orgiastic sexuality, by hypnosis, or by the use of various natural psychedelic intoxicants.

Reports of these kinds of exalted states have come to us not only through the literature of religious fanaticism; such accomplished scientists as Pascal and Newton have written of being overcome by mystic trances to which they attribute many of their creative insights.

William James well understood that the mystic was often able to effect an almost miraculous synthesis between this world of "imagined" reality and the world of phenomena. In recent years, psychology has tended, to its discredit, to ignore these elements of William James's thought.

One of the happy by-products of LSD has been the revival of interest in William James on the part of academic psychologists who had previously thought that these concerns of his were a cranky eccentricity in the body of his worthwhile work. Two famous reports of modern times of this kind of correlation--between the hard factual world of science and the dreamworld of the psychedelic state--are those of Friedrich Kekule, the German chemist who has written that he was "presented with" the closed-chain theory of the structure of the benzene molecule during one such dream-trance state, and Otto Loewi, who wrote that in he awakened from a dream in which was described to him the means by which chemical transfer was accomplished between nerve and effecter cells.

Loewi rushed down to his laboratory, where he proceeded to prove the reality of the dream--an accomplishment which led to the Nobel Prize. From the time of Dionysius to the time of Plato, the cultures of the Mediterranean consented to this doctrine that claimed the existence of an order of ultimate reality which lies beyond apparent reality, and that this "paranormal" reality is accessible to the consciousness only when the "normal" routines of mental data processing are dislocated.

It was Plato's pupil Aristotle who spoiled his master's game. Following upon Aristotle, Western philosophy became bifurcated. The philosophical temper of our civilization, being scientifically and technically oriented, is basically Aristotelian. No such rational figure as Aristotle arose in the Orient to a position of equal eminence. Regardless of the reasons, Indian anatomists and zoologists, who were no doubt just as curious as the Greeks about the origins of life, and as skilled in dissection, did not feel compelled to set their disciplines up in opposition to metaphysics.

Metaphysical philosophy and natural philosophy remained joined like Siamese twins. As a result, that discipline which became medicine in the West evolved into a system known as Kundilini Yoga in the Hindu culture. This was a system designed to produce in those who followed its teachings a condition of controlled "creative" madness.

In Western terms, Kundilini Yoga can be understood as a biological statement couched in the language of poetic metaphor. The system made a heroic attempt to join together the seeming disparate entities of body and mind.

It is a very complicated doctrine; in oversimplified terms, the system encourages the practitioner to progress through the control of six stages, called chakras, of body-mind coordination. The sixth, the highest and most exalted state, is called the sahasrara. The physiological site of this sixth chakra, the sahasrara, is located in the center of the forehead; it is symbolized by an eye--the so-called third eye, the inner eye, or the eye of the mind.

When this eye is opened, a new and completely other dimension of reality is revealed to the practitioner of yoga.

Western scholars when they first came upon this literature took the third eye to be an appropriately poetic metaphor and nothing else. But in the middle of the nineteenth century, as the subcontinent of Australia and its surrounding territory came to be explored, a flurry of zoological interest centered upon a lizard native to the area, the tuatara Sphenodon punctatum.

This animal possessed, in addition to two perfectly ordinary eyes located on either side of its head, a third eye buried in the skull which was revealed through an aperture in the bone, covered by a transparent membrane, and surrounded by a rosette of scales.

It was unmistakably a third eye, but upon dissection it proved to be nonfunctional. Though it still possessed the structure of a lens and retina, these were no longer in good working order; also lacking were appropriate neural connections to the brain. But the presence of this eye in the tuatara still poses a puzzle to present-day evolutionists, for almost all vertebrates possess a homologous structure in the center of their skulls.

It is present in many fish, all reptiles, birds, and mammals including humans. No functional role whatever could be imagined for this structure in humans, and it remained merely an anatomical curiosity until , when Otto Heubner, a German physician, wrote a paper associating cancers of this organ with instances of precocious puberty in children. Heubner's observation was confirmed many times over in the intervening years and gave rise to a number of theories concerning the role of the pineal organ as a regulator of sexual maturity.

Those who adhered to these theories considered the pineal to be a gland, but since no secretions could be isolated or identified as emanating from this organ, the theories remained unsubstantiated by clinical evidence. I N no one was paying any attention to the pineal organ.

A hematologist, Maurice Rapport, working in the Cleveland Clinic was engaged in the search for that substance in blood serum which could be related to the tendency of blood to clot, and which might also cause the constriction of blood vessels.

He eventually found just such a substance; it tended to make blood form clots, and it tended to be a muscle- as well as a vaso-constrictor. Rapport named this substance serotonin; it is manufactured quite profusely by specialized cells lining the wall of the gut, and it is presumed to play a role of some kind in the peristaltic movements.

Directly as Rapport announced his discovery, the new chemical came under intensive scrutiny; biochemists were eager to find means of augmenting its role as a clotting agent and vasoconstrictor; they were also eager to find means of blocking these functions. It was E. Gaddum, a professor of pharmacology at the University of Edinburgh, who seems to have been one of the first to note a connection between serotonin and mental states of being.

In a paper published in , he pointed out the odd fact that LSD was a potent antagonist to serotonin. Two biochemists working at the Rockefeller Institute, D. Woolley and E. Shaw, were similarly struck by this odd coincidence. They tested a number of other chemicals antagonistic to serotonin and wrote in a rather startled tone "Among each of these compounds are some that cause mental aberrations If this be true, then the naturally occurring mental disorders--for example schizophrenia--which are mimicked by these drugs may be pictured as being the result of a cortical serotonin deficiency arising from metabolic failure rather than from drug action.

This announcement produced a thrill of excited hope, which was short-lived; there were other antagonists to serotonin just as potent as LSD which had no effect whatever on mental states. Serotonin also refused to pass through the so-called "blood-brain barrier. But the medical profession accommodated itself easily to this particular disappointment; for this discovery and a series of others which occurred during the same period gave rise to a whole new set of concepts concerning the roles of various chemical compounds manufactured within the brain.

The chakras are believed to be wheel-like energy centers distributed throughout your body that affect well-being and perception. The third eye chakra, also known as Ajna, is considered to be the sixth chakra in the body. This chakra is said to be located in the center of your head, parallel to the middle of your eyebrows. Some say that when open, the third eye chakra can provide wisdom and insight, as well as deepen your spiritual connection. Covington notes that the pineal gland plays a significant role in most cultures throughout the world.

According to Covington, the pineal gland is the biological relative of the energetic third eye chakra. This tiny gland at the base of the skull produces melatonin , which affects circadian rhythms and reproductive hormones. Studies show a link between the pineal gland and N, N-dimethyltriptamine, also known as DMT , according to a research review.

This can include:. While more research is needed about how the third eye can affect us spiritually and emotionally, a study suggests that smaller pineal gland volume may be linked to mood disorders like schizophrenia. The role of the third eye has also been discussed in parapsychology, or the study of unexplainable mental phenomena.

Some believe that, when open, the third eye acts as a doorway for spiritual communication. Some traditions emphasize the need to open and harmonize all your other chakras prior to opening the third eye. This is said to establish the grounding and capacity necessary to handle the insights of higher consciousness.

Otherwise, some believe that opening the third eye could be destabilizing. Covington believes diet can play a key role in opening your third eye chakra. She advises that several foods may support and detoxify the third eye, including:. Some essential oils, especially citrus oils like lemon, can cause photosensitivity. Avoid sun exposure after applying citrus essential oils to your skin. Sun gazing is a form of meditation that involves gazing at the sun, typically at sunrise and sunset.
