How does amber alert movie end

Now this is a good idea, full of lots of promise. But does the movie fulfill all of its potential. It starts off like every other one: a black screen with an introduction about what we are about to witness. The next day — October 5, — the Phoenix Police Department logged the following raw footage as crime scene evidence. Next we see best friends Nathan and Samantha talk about who they are and why they should be picked to be on the reality show.

It is a very cute opening and of course is meant for the audience to get in synch with its characters. For me it did. I especially like Nathan, playing the part of the lovable goofball. Samantha, too. Well, until they spot the gray Honda on the highway.

What should they do next? Samantha has no issue with raising her voice to give her opinion in the matter. Obviously if you're following an amber alert car you're going to call the police.

How this is handled in the movie is just downright laughable at times and it's certainly not realistic. What's so annoying is that the two lead characters do nothing but scream at each other and usually it's about the same stuff.

The guy wants to give up looking. The girl screams at him. The two fight about various things like their responsibility or what could possibly happen to them. This non-stop arguing appears to be improvised and it's just annoying and throughout the film it just keeps repeating itself. At times I had to stand up during the movie because my blood was boiling over how angry these characters were making me. They do one stupid thing after another. Yes, you need to suspend disbelief at times but this film crossed the line into stupidity.

With that said, I think for the most part the film is technical well-made considering it is a found footage movie. It's well-shot and I think the performances are realistic but, then again, this also adds to some of the annoying bits. I'm not going to spoil anything in the movie but if I were to do so then you'd see how many more faults are in the story.

This one has to do with a trio of extremely irritating dimwits following a car that's been involved with an amber alert. Strike that, I only loathed two of the three characters as the cameraman only talks sporadically throughout the movie.

Ironically, the child molester was the least annoying person in the film. Something that would make Victor Salva, director of Jeepets Creepers and Powder happy Instant Netflix gets a lot of crap for having truly awful movies in its lineup.

This film does nothing to dissuade that notion. My Grade: F. Wade plays the mysterious driver, Michael whom Samantha is convinced is a kidnapper. I really like the idea behind 'Amber Alert'. Spotting the car involved in an Amber Alert and going after it yourself is a fun idea for a movie. The problem is that it requires a lot of unrealistic things to happen to make it work. For example the police force in this film are possibly the most incompetent I've ever seen in a film, and that is saying something.

Also it requires the characters to do a tremendous amount of things that would simply never be done in real life. This is one of those films where you just have to simply turn your brain off and accept things for how they are. If you are able to do that then this can be quite an enjoyable ride. My goodness this film can be tough to listen to though. The characters are just constantly shouting at each in a very aggressive manner, and it quickly becomes quite draining. Also the dialogue isn't all that flash.

I'm not sure how much of it was scripted, but it certainly feels like a lot of it was improvised on the spot - though to be fair most good "found-footage" films should feel that way. The finale of this movie is very tense. It's a well executed sequence for the most part.

I wasn't entirely satisfied with the way it all ended up, but the sequence up until that point was enough for my liking. If you think you can do that though it has enough going on to keep it watchable for 80 minutes. This is the story of a little girl who is kidnapped by a creepy hunky pedophile. In their quest to document "things" a three-man documentary crew spots the car referenced in an amber alert and choose to follow it after they call it in to Their nervy verve is increased when they realize cops are taking too long.

It's a wild ride with three teens and their giant need to help vs. It's almost a given that found-footage movies carry the patina of amateur-hour. I mean, this is supposed to be what real people sound and act like when they're not "on stage", correct?

Unfortunately, Kerry Belessa never gave that direction to her sister, Summer and her acting partner Chris Hill, who play two ambiguously enamored "friends" who get side-tracked one Arizona afternoon, tailing a car which is a perfect match to the Amber Alert they've just seen posted on the freeway. Sure, the characters occasionally lost it in "Blair Witch," but Belessa and Hill lose it every five seconds, and it is trying to get through the first forty minutes of this zero-budget indie.

The story really does work with the found-footage format: it's gritty, visceral, and it keeps you guessing. It's one of the few early scenes that's compelling and creepy enough to work, precisely because it's not shouting a platitude at us. Amber Alert is a merely serviceable film that could have been great, if it had been steered with a bit more subtlety, like the recent "Skew" and " Arletta Ave.

Right away this annoying piece of female flesh suspected the worst. Her high pitched whine continually battering our eardrums was enough to have me drop this movie around the half way point. She was relentless in her absurd dialogue. They'd been following this suspect vehicle for an hour and she still insisted on repeating her catchphrase " we have to follow him" God knows how many times.

I've seen some bad films in my time, witnessed some annoying characters and face palmed at some awful scripts. This film managed to encompass everything bad in any film i've ever watched. As for the moron filming all this, well lets just say i know the perfect place to ram his camera. Absolutely terrible film on so many levels. I can't actually remember the last film i watched that enraged me, so well done on the makers of this for achieving that and i'll guarantee i'm not the only one who's viewed this who felt that way.

Its quite plain this movie is pretty much a first outing for those involved. So I think if watched with this in mind Amber Alert isn't really all that bad considering the many movies with a much higher budget that were just dumb and the fact that my girlfriend just 'didn't get' cloud atlas shows we have a very wide scale of audience in general.

I will say I actually found the chemistry between the two leads quite natural maybe they were ad-lib in parts, that'd make sense. There was the extent as with a lot of movies where the very poor decision making skills, of usually and this is indicative of the movie industry perhaps from my observation only a lead female character, forwards the plot like a recurring nightmare for every movie watcher everywhere.

This happens here, the female lead is annoying, talks constantly and panics and makes the wrong decisions due to her protective instincts, which out in the wild of course would lead to the demise of her family tree. But anyway I digress in end I warmed to the movie and the characters who with with one camera, a relatively original idea and a low budget didn't do too bad. I applaud the filmmakers. Plus I feel all those one stars were just mean.

The only thing this movie has going for it is an interesting idea: "What would the average Joe and Jane do IF that actually saw a vehicle featured on an Amber Alert? How would they react? What would they do? Unfortunately it all goes to crap after that. The actor and actress in the leads were some of the most irritating people I have ever met. If you don't like O'Reilly interrupting his guests, you would hate these two - especially the wimpy guy.

Actually it was a relief when they were both killed at the end. These two should have been eliminated from the gene pool. And then there were the cops - one actually showed up and - you guessed it - wanted to arrest our hero and heroine for speeding! Another in the long line of "Blair Witch style" flicks - not well done at all. I felt sorry for the "brother" filming from the back seat!! I'm sure he hated it also. Well if you see this movie, you have been warned! A waste of 1.

A guy, his friend, and his brother on a road trip see an amber alert sign on the highway and instantly see the car it details. They decide to follow said car and instantly the the two friends begin to bicker incessantly. I'm telling ya, it gets annoying. The of course call the police to report the car but incredibly the police do nothing about it.

They call again to no avail. The film has an interesting premise and starts out pretty interesting with some nice ideas but reality is held in disbelief as to some of the main character's and police's actions. Eventually they get into some trouble that I won't reveal and the ending gets pretty good, the only problem being that you don't really care about the main characters by then, they being so annoying.

The film has it's share of suspense and enough twists and turns to make for a decent watch. Hajimoto 8 June And not in a good way. Overall, the story was good and efficient and the acting was not bad. But there was far too much of the two main characters screaming at each other. I realize that this is probably what would have happened in real life, but it didn't make for a good movie.

But it was good to see a found footage movie about something real in our society today. Less screaming and more interesting dialogue and I would have graded this higher. Im thankful for those people who hd the courage to say something and do something about it.

This is very nitpicky. Quality low-budget film, that was very intense and felt very realistic. A common complaint I've seen is that the two of them argued too much, but while it did get a little annoying at times, it wasn't ridiculous, and it was a very realistic reaction in a tense situation like they were in.

I was on the edge of my seat for the whole film, and it had a "real" feel to it that really drew me into the movie and I was hanging on every moment.

I was actually pretty surprised to see all of the negative reviews. I thought it was a true story as I watched it, so perhaps that amplified everything. The movie had my heart pumping like it was going to explode out of my chest and the end of the movie was extremely intense as well as heart breaking. Even after the movie my heart was beating fast and I was full of adrenaline. Hope I don't have nightmares now as I fall to sleep!

In my opinion, the movie had an opportunity to be a lot better It's also, very unrealistic. For instance, you're probably going to be asked to NOT follow a suspect, and if you are asked they damn sure aren't hanging up with you Being a native and current resident of Arlington, TX, the title peaked my interest I'm probably late on this movie as I just watched it.

However, I read tons of bad reviews on this movie. To be completely honest, I didn't think it was that bad. Yeah all the arguing got annoying at some point but the storyline was good. And people keep saying that it was unbelievable as they called the cops many times and only one showed up in the whole movie, but I think that was done purposely. Not bashing at cops or anything, but sometimes they do take a while specially with these kinds of amber alerts.

A lot of things that happen can be prevented if the cops would show up sooner. That's what I think the producers were trying to point out. But other than that, I thought it was great. There's tons of people out there that would do anything to help someone else. Ok, I'm pretty pissed because I spent awhile typing my comment and when I tried to preview it it got deleted.

The girl who got offended because her dad is a cop needs to zip it like a ziplock. Go talk to the people that live in the not so great parts of town.

From what I've heard cops take their sweet time with those situations. The ending of Amber Alert actually made me cry a little. How tragic! The whole movie kept me on the edge of my seat pretty much. The characters were also very believable. And you actually do see Caleb more than once-- he's also shown a little while they're eating at that taco place or whatever.

This blog made a lot of good points. Sam and Nate both were made somewhat unlikeable for various reasons but by the end it was Sam I really had a problem with. She's the one that got them killed. If she would have just chilled and kept calling the police it could have ended differently. It's hard to be glad the little girl survived knowing it cost two other lives in order for her to live. And, this is just my personal opinion and I KNOW it's not real, but I get the feeling the little girl probably wasn't grateful for them sacrificing their own lives just to save her.

It was totally realistic, but sad that Nate was so enamored with Samantha that he would risk his life to stick by her side in the event of danger, danger that she willing put them in. I would also like to add that the way the room where Melanie was if you paid attention chances are you noticed this name was on the wall with some vulgar remarks so I assume that was the little girl's name was decorated in such a sick, twisted way that it shocked you.

Well, it shocked me. That was quite well done in my opinion. Even though it's just a movie, it's one of those movies that leaves you with a heavy heart even so. It would be cool if someone would remake the film and handle it differently and make it more believable.

I think it was good but certainly had the potential to be better. Overall semi believable but it could have been made a lot better. I'm sure they will make better movies similar to this story but decent job and god damn props for sticking it through with a fucking moron at your side.. If you would have had the help you deserved and needed neither of you would have died and the only person that would have suffered is that creep. Granted why people don't grab the gun first in that type of situation is beyond my comprehension..

If he has them sitting out he probably had one on him.. Really all it takes is some common sense. This comment goes with the one before this, wasn't sure if they were going through.. Also this message entering section is kind of not working. If you want to go back and delete anything it won't let you type anymore and starts freaking out. Hence why I have three consecutive comments. I for one kinda despise found footage films but this one was so good and I was honestly shocked to see all the negative reviews.

It was so realistic and I thought it was actual footage and I loved the characters and the thing that stuck the most is how much Nate loved Sam as more than a friend and how it wasn't mutual and how they both died but they could've been more, and could've been together. It just makes me feel so sad, especially for Nate. There is no way in real life that they would call off an amber alert especially if they have witnesses and they never showed up and encouraged Sam to follow the car at first AND hang up?

There's a criminal so near you and you pull over the people trying to help. Kinda really stoopid. Also I was a bit surprised when Sam kept trying to get her little brother to join her in her parade around a sadistic murderer's house, it was inconsiderate on her part and made it feel like she didn't care for her brother nor his wellbeing. And for all you people saying he should have grabbed a gun, Nate did. It even says he shot and killed the guy right before dying himself soo And they wouldnt have been able to stop it because he just appeared without warning, with the lights out, and shot Sam in the back of the head.

It was unexpected and they were busy helping the little girl when he came silently enough for them not to realise he was there until it was too late. Furthermore, they did not keep chasing the guy after talking to him because it seemed like a plausible story which is actually true for most amber alerts and if they kept following him after it would have been weird and he would have noticed and I'm not sure how it would go from there. But guys it could have been worse. Sam could have been stupid enough to go near the kidnapper's car and probably get kidnapped herself then.

Count yo' blessings people. So that concludes my review. It honestly wasn't bad, I enjoyed all of it and I felt like I was in the backseat with Caleb watching it unfold.
